Etowah Co. deputies arrest Georgia man for child sexual abuse | News
Even after a Georgia man has been arrested for sexually abusing children, Etowah County officials fear there may be more victims in the area.
Cecil Benefield, 53 of Alpharetta, Georgia, was arrested on felony charges of sexual abuse of a child under twelve and sodomy.
Investigators say the incidents happened over the past two years in Etowah, Calhoun, and Jefferson counties.
They also say there's at least one other victim that they've identified, but that victim hasn't pressed charges. Investigators will not say whether the victims knew the suspect.
Benefield is currently being held at the Etowah County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
